Description

Here Today is a charming 55ft semi-trad narrowboat, offering a warm and inviting interior with a perfect blend of traditional styling and modern comforts. Built by Evans & Son and fitted out by Mark Tweedale in 2001, she has been lovingly maintained and is ideal for those seeking a comfortable liveaboard or a relaxing cruising holiday. With a recently updated interior, including new window blinds and well-maintained heating, she provides both practicality and a welcoming atmosphere throughout.

Stepping aboard from the stern, you are greeted by a covered deck space with a canvas roof, perfect for enjoying the outdoors whatever the weather. The saloon features a 3-seater sofa bed, a Morso squirrel stove, TV with aerial outlet, and clever storage solutions, creating a cosy space to relax after a day on the water. The boat flows into a well-appointed 4-person dinette, which converts into a double bed, making it ideal for family or guests.

The galley is thoughtfully designed for comfortable living, with a gas oven and grill, 4-burner gas stove, 12v fridge/freezer, 24v microwave, plumbing for a washing machine, and ample cupboard space, making meal preparation and everyday life simple and enjoyable.

Here Today features two inviting sleeping areas. The main bedroom offers a standard-width double bed with a Simba mattress, a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, under-bed storage with access to the calorifier, a corner cupboard, and additional storage, providing a peaceful retreat. The additional cabin provides versatile living space, with a sofa bed, wood-burning stove, and storage, ideal for guests or extra living area.

The bathroom is practical and comfortable, with a 3ft bath with overhead shower, sink with cupboard and shelving, mirror, and a cassette toilet, with an additional access point in the hallway for convenience.

With a 750L water tank, 210L fuel tank, and a reliable Kubota/Beta four-cylinder diesel engine with PRM 120 gearbox, Here Today combines classic semi-trad charm, thoughtful layout, and modern convenience. Running from stern to bow – stern deck, saloon, dinette, galley, bathroom, and main bedroom – she offers a harmonious blend of character, comfort, and practicality, making her an ideal choice for anyone looking to enjoy life on the waterways.
