Covid-19
Update

COVID-19 Update - 15th May 2020
Following the latest Government advice regarding leisure pursuits, we are now able to welcome back our boat owners from Friday 15th May.

When visiting the marina please adhere to Government guidance at all times and the procedures which are in place to facilitate a safe environment for both customers and staff. All guidance is in addition to our standard terms and conditions.

We’re following the latest guidance therefore further operational changes will take place over the coming weeks and months. The Government does not allow overnight stays in second homes or holiday accommodation, please do not stay on site overnight and vacate your boat by 4pm.

Before You Travel

  • Consider whether your journey to the marina is necessary, do not travel if any member of your group displays COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Please contact the marina office to advise us of your visit.
  • Review Government guidance for your area – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Social distancing must be practised at all times.
  • You must bring your own PPE and hand sanitiser, please use these when entering and leaving the marina and after touching any surfaces outside of your boat.
  • Exercise strict hygiene caution when touching commonly touched surfaces such as gates, taps, jetties and entrances.

Arrival

  • Visits can only be with members of your own household.
  • No overnight stays are permitted - the government does not permit the population to leave their homes to ‘stay at another home for a holiday or other purpose’.
  • On arrival at the marina, please go directly to your boat, do not interact with other customers or marina staff.

Jetties

  • Jetties should be accessed using a “give way system”, as they are less than 2 meters wide, allow people to complete their full journey along the jetty before moving on or off them.
  • Finger jetties must be used only if necessary, to move a safe distance away from others.
  • Give way to those exiting the jetties towards the perimeter.
  • Please avoid touching any unnecessary surfaces such as bollards and wear suitable, clean gloves when using jetty bollards or water taps.
  • We advise customers to avoid use of trollies however should you use them, please bring sanitiser to disinfect before and after use.

On Your Boat

  • Please limit time on your boat within the marina. Government guidelines do not allow for overnight stays on your boat therefore we kindly ask that you leave by 4pm.
  • Be conscious to maintain social distancing whilst on your boat or manoeuvring; being aware of other occupied boats in your vicinity and how exterior activities may break social distancing rules.
  • To minimise use of shared facilities, we ask that you do not use marina toilets, showers or the laundry during your visit. Please make use facilities onboard your boat if available.

Leaving Your Berth and Mooring Up

  • Sound your horn with one prolonged blast to indicate to others that you are leaving your berth.
  • When returning to your berth wait for the surrounding area to clear of any other people.
  • If anyone is on the jetty or finger jetty, make sure they are aware of your intention to berth and allow them to move away if necessary.
  • Please avoid assisting others who are berthing such as catching a line or holding them off.

On The Marina

  • Please adhere to the maximum occupancy signs displayed on entrance doors, this is 1 each for the marina reception, laundry and Elsan and 2 for Ladies and Gents. Please make yourself aware of how many people are already using the facility when entering.
  • When using the Elsan, ensure that you clean down all surfaces and wash hand before and prior to leaving the building.
  • The facilities will be regularly closed for cleaning. Please DO NOT ENTER during this time.
  • Please queue outside, being aware of social distancing.
  • You may prefer to take your refuse home, please wear gloves when opening lids to use the bins.
  • Dogs must be kept under strict control by their owner and remain on a lead at all times.

We ask you to refrain from direct contact with our staff. Enquiries can be made by phone, email or through our website. Members of our team who are working on site should not be approached.
