Description

Welcome aboard Tea & Oranges, a 55ft Dutch Barge style narrowboat that blends traditional charm with modern comfort. Built in 2001 by Sirius Yachts Ltd, this beautifully presented vessel boasts a large cruiser stern and a cleverly designed interior that maximises space, making it feel far more spacious than its length suggests. Hydraulic steering ensures effortless control from the wheelhouse, while powerful bow thrusters assist with precise navigation, making even challenging waterways easy to handle. Tea & Oranges offers a truly comfortable and stylish experience for couples or small families, with berths for up to four.

The galley is designed for both practicality and style. Featuring a composite oval sink with drainer, solid hardwood worktops, and a full-size free-standing cooker with separate oven, grill, and four burners, it provides everything needed to prepare meals on board. A fridge with freezer box, microwave, and toaster complete the package, while an abundance of high- and low-level cupboards and drawers ensures ample storage for all your provisions and kitchen essentials.

The saloon is a welcoming space for relaxation and entertainment. A genuine three-seater futon sofa converts into an additional bed, complemented by a TV, DVD player, and radio. Glazed double doors lead out onto a spacious well deck, where seating on both port and starboard sides creates an ideal space for socialising or enjoying the passing scenery.

The raised Pullman dinette adds versatility and comfort. Fully upholstered, it can convert into a double bed when required, with storage conveniently located beneath the seating. This flexible layout makes the boat ideal for overnight stays or extended cruising adventures.

The cruiser stern and wheelhouse provide a commanding view and ease of operation. A pram cover shelters the wheelhouse, while buffalo boards cover the engine compartment. Hydraulic steering, a Morse controller, and an extensive instrument panel, along with battery isolators, ensure smooth handling and complete control. Double doors lead down into the spacious bedroom, linking functionality with style.

The bedroom is designed for restful comfort. It features a full-size extending double bed with storage underneath, a wardrobe, and a variety of additional cupboards, providing plenty of space to keep belongings organised. Adjacent, the bathroom is equipped with a Tecma macerator pump-out toilet, wash basin over a vanity unit, corner shower, and further storage – combining convenience with practicality.

Tea & Oranges is a narrowboat that perfectly balances charm, space, and usability. Its clever design, quality build, and modern features make it an ideal choice for those seeking a stylish canal cruiser at a realistic price. Viewing is highly recommended to fully appreciate the comfort, versatility, and character this vessel has to offer.
