Pearl is a charming 50ft semi-traditional narrowboat, built by Marque Narrowboats in 1994, offering a comfortable and well-appointed home afloat with accommodation for up to four people.
Her practical reverse layout begins with the stern galley, leading through to a welcoming saloon, bathroom and fixed double bedroom at the bow. The layout makes excellent use of the available space, combining traditional narrowboat character with the comforts needed for relaxed cruising and longer stays aboard.
The stern galley is well equipped, with work surfaces to both sides, cream cabinetry with wooden surrounds, tiled worktops and matching splashbacks. Appliances include a four-burner gas hob with glass lid, Spinflo Midi Prima MKIII oven and separate grill, under-counter refrigerator and stainless-steel sink with mixer tap. There is plenty of storage provided by cupboards, drawers and open shelving, while windows to both sides bring natural light into the space.
Moving into the saloon, Pearl has a cosy and traditional feel, with built-in L-shaped seating upholstered in a patterned fabric with scatter cushions. The seating converts to provide an additional two berths when required. A wood-burning stove sits on a tiled hearth with a decorative tiled surround, creating a warm focal point for the room. Fitted storage cupboards, shelving, traditional wood panelling, a white panelled ceiling and burgundy carpet add to her character.
The bathroom is positioned between the saloon and bedroom and includes a pump-out toilet, tiled shower cubicle with adjustable shower and curtain, and a washbasin set into a tiled vanity unit. There is useful storage beneath the basin and on the wall, along with wooden-framed mirrors and shelving. A wall-mounted radiator provides additional comfort.
At the bow, the bedroom features a fixed double bed with side access, overhead cupboards, additional low-level storage and windows to both sides. Wood panelling and a white panelled ceiling continue the traditional styling, while the bedroom also benefits from access into the forward cratch area.
Pearl is powered by a BMC 1.8 engine and benefits from wood-burning heating, solar power and an inverter, as well as both cratch and pram covers. She was last blacked in April 2025 and had an engine service recorded in August 2026. Her Boat Safety Certificate is valid until 2030.
With her traditional styling, practical reverse layout and accommodation for up to four, Pearl offers an appealing opportunity for anyone looking to enjoy life on the inland waterways, whether for relaxed cruising, extended stays or weekends afloat.
